Finally made it back to CVS.  No pics but here is what I bought.

1 Colgate Total Toothpaste
2 Crest Pro Health Toothpaste
1 Aussie Hair Care
2 Digiourno Rising Crust pizza
1 newspaper , double edition

Before Coupons it was close to 20.00, I had 1.00 off Colgate, 75 cents off crest, 1$ off aussie and the pizzas were priced two for 7.00 and I used 2 1.00 off coupons.  I also used 7.00 in extra bucks and paid 6.50 out of pocket.  I received 8.00 in extra bucks back.  How did you do this weekend?

Shopping on a Sunday

Not too much shopping today, I'm stuck at home with a sinus infection.  However, since I'm in the last week of the eating from the pantry challenge, not too much is needed at my home.  Please keep this in mind as my crazy menu tomorrow shows off the remnants of a long month, but one that cleared up a lot of space in my teensy pantry!

I did make it to CVS yesterday.  I had 21.99$ worth of extra bucks that were expiring.  I wasn't sure there were enough deals to help me roll them over, but I didn't do too badly!  I bought 6 deodorants, 4 dove for me and 2 degree for the husband, a double pack of crest toothpaste, two diet dr. pepper 20 oz's, and two large bottles of purex laundry soap.  I paid 1.83 out of pocket and received 12 extra bucks.  Not the best day, but not bad either!  I am going to try and venture out to Kroger later and do the Kraft catalina, but we'll see how that goes.  Let me know how you did this week and what great bargains you found.  Isn't saving money fun?

Menu Planning Monday

Alrighty, so here is my tasty (I hope) menu plan for this week.  Share yours or link up to http://www.orgjunkie.com/ to see more menus!

Monday:

Grilled Chicken, Frozen veggies in a bag (need a low points meal to make up for Olive Garden last night)
Dessert:  yogurt/blackberries

Tuesday:

Zucchini Beef:  Ground lean beef cooked with diced zucchini, garlic powder and rotel tomatoes.  We eat it with a tortilla and it's great.

Wednesday:

Weight Watchers taco soup

Thursday:

Grilled salmon with new potatoes.  I just bake mine in the oven with some lemon and pepper, not too bad.

Friday:

Night out (subway after my game)

Not the most creative menu this week, but quick and easy for a busy week of school.

Shopping on a Sunday

Not much shopping for me today, I am still trying to live out of my pantry. I've done fairly well and it's getting pretty bare. However, it looks like stores are starting to get some deals going, so let the re-stockpiling begin! I made it to Kroger today and did very well. I bought 9 gatorade 2, the low cal version and 9 tuna pouches. I used internet printables for the tuna and coupons from last week's circular and my total price: Before coupons: 18.00, after coupons, 0.00! I love those shopping days and so does my husband! I am also going to costco tomorrow to stock up on my meat and such for the week. Let me know how you did and tomorrow I will try and make it to CVS-I don't think the deals are that great, but I have 18.93 in extra bucks I need to try and roll the best I can. Also, stay tuned for tomorrow, as it's Menu Planning Monday and I know all 3 of my readers are on the edge of their seat to see what I'm cooking this week! I see ya Mom!

Shopping on a Sunday

No shopping for me today! I am going to join in money saving mom and fishmama in the pantry challenge. With just two of us in the household, things pile up pretty quick, so I am going to try and use everything I have and only take advantage of really good deals to keep my pantry overflowing for cheap! I am ready to go- all new coupons from today's paper are cut and filed and I'm ready for the sales! Let me know if your planning on joining in on the challenge!

New Year's Resolutions

Why do we make New Year's resolutions? Is the promise of a new year enough to make us think that we can change all of our bad habits? Does anyone ever stick to them? I guess if you are one of those people that stick to them, then more power to you! I never have done it before.

This year however, I am going to continue with some changes. My goal is to be more positive and enjoy every day, because who knows when it might be your last? I decided this as I watched my parents struggle with my dad's cancer. What should be their golden years is marred by dr. Visits, medicine and praying for miracles. So I'm taking that to heart and am going to enjoy everyday. We as Christians are to glorify God, and I feel if I can be positive, that is the first step.

I also am going to continue my weight loss journey, reconnect at church, and be a better wife. If anyone reads my blog, let me know what your plans for the new year are!
