Shopping on a Sunday

Not much shopping this week, I was able to get to costco and stock up on meat and chicken,so I'm using up some of my stockpile. I will post my menu tomorrow as I join MenuPlanning Monday from OrgJunkie.

However, there are a few unbelievable deals out there.

At target.com, you can print 1$ off artisan breads and many loaves are only 99 cents! I have 6 free loaves of bread! Woohoo! I got this off of Deal Seeking Mom's website.

Also, follow this link : http://coupons.smartsource.com/WEB/index.aspx?act=printCoupons&firsttime=true&SessionID=91a4db5b-bca9-4e28-aecd-c96033795847 and you will get a 4.00 off pace coupon. Pace is cheaper than this, so it's free! Or a moneymaker. This is from Erica at IHEARTCVS's twitter page.

So today I went to target, bought one large pace at 2.99, one buddy bar, and 3 loaves of bread. Final price: free :)

At Kroger I bought two pace's, one gentle care wipe, a box of poptarts, and a paper. Used two 4.00 off coupons for the pace, one 5.00 off any gentle care product and kroger actually gave me 18 cents back, what a great day of shopping!

Shopping on A Sunday

All of the coupon links are up on the blogs on the right hand side of my blog, I personally enjoy Mommy Snacks, but go back and forth to all of them. Let me know if there is a store you can't find.

Here is my shopping on a sunday, no pics since my sweet husband has already put everything up! I only did the drugstores and a run into target- I am trying to use up some of my stockpile- I am trying to use some of the grocery money this week to help pay for a FCA cookout for my school.

CVS

1 Transaction-I know, only one :)

3 boxes of cheerios at 3/10.00 Used Manufacturer coupons 1/3, .55/1, .55/1
2 boxes of Garnier Fructis Hair Color, 2/10 Used Manufacturer coupons 2/1, 2/1
1 Diet 7 up

Total before coupons: 21.49
Total after coupons: 16.66
Pait with 16.00 Extra Bucks, earned 10 back
I burned a few extra bucks, but Justin loves the Cheerios Out of Pocket, 66 cents!

Walgreens:
4 different transactions,
1st Transaction: 3 packages of size 2 diapers at 10.00 a pack, one Garnier Fructis Hair products
33.00 before coupons, used 3 5/1 for the diapers, a 1/1 for the Garnier and an IVC coupon (walgreens) for the garnier, total out of pocket was 16.23, then earned ten dollars in register rewards. So for 6.23, got 3 packs of diapers and a hair product.

Transactions 2, 3 and 4 consisted of one garnier fructis product using the same coupons above and a 50 cent candy since the garnier rang up at .01 refund back to me and Walgreens wouldn't clear it. I will use the candy for Justin's lunch

At Target I spent 6.00, none of it amazing deals, bought some bread, frozen fries and taco seasoning to help stretch the weeks meals.

Total spent oop this week: 12.83 plus 10.00 for a package of hamburger meat at costco. Total spent on groceries : 22.83! WooHoo! Let me know how you did!

Walgreens

I received an email from a lurker asking why I don't enjoy Walgreens. I do sometimes shop there, but rarely. I have a very hard time getting the cashiers to take coupons, or my register rewards to print out. I also once received a messed up gift card from their rebate system and had a very hard time getting it replaced. In my personal experience, CVS is just much more coupon friendly.

Tell me your thoughts lurkers. Any bad luck stories with CVS or Walgreens?

Depressing Post Alert

It's not fair. How come my Dad can't get well. I called him today and their home phone is turned off. He said it's because they had to pay 10 grand just to see a doctor tomorrow to do a clinical trial where he might get a drug. Ridiculous. At the same time, Justin's mom had one surgery and is now expected to be cancer free. My dad has had 3 surgeries 6 rounds of horrible immunotherapy and still isn't any better. I know I don't understand God's perfect plan, but right now it blows. My dad is the most caring, honest amazing man I have ever met-why is this crap happening to him. He's been fighting this cancer for 14 months. Originally his Doctor said if they couldn't kill it he had 18 months to live. I try not to think about it, as long as he is home, in my head he is well. I hate that I don't live closer to him to be able to see him and spend as much time with him as I can. I just want him to be well and not hurt anymore. I want to hurry up and have a grandchild so that he can be a grandad in case he keeps getting worse, but even that I can't make happen. I feel so helpless I don't know what to do. I know we're supposed to give these things over to God and not worry, just pray but right now it's pretty damn hard.

Sorry for the vent, I will try to post some deals tomorrow. It's been a slow shopping week.

Shopping on Sunday

Ok, so I am not grocery shopping this week, but I will post my CVS trip later on today. I am definitely using my 3/15!

However, you can find the links to kroger on www.mommysnacks.net for Kroger and target and walmart should be up later.

Also, today is the first of the month, so that means coupons.com has new coupons. There are some really good ones- .55 off of cheerios ( a staple for the hubby) and a 5.00 and a 3.00 off Huggies diapers at www.coupons.com. Yes, I buy diapers, even though I don't have a child. I have a very extensive baby stockpile set up, so that one day if we are blessed with a child, we will be prepared. Hold onto those Huggies coupons until March 8th and Walgreens will be having a sale where you buy 25.00 worth of Huggies products and get 10.00 in register rewards! Woohoo!
